Through the Eyes of a Wolf 3The raven's name was Skylar and as time passed, our bond grew.  There was something special we shared with one another . . something that may seem unlikely and for me it is hard to explain.  It was not immediate, in fact it took a bit of time before I learned of his gifts and how we could work together.  This gift would become invaluable later on . .  as I learned one evening.

Through the Eyes of a Wolf 2The story never seemed to change . . . the routine was always the same.  My family seemed happy for this . . . I suppose because they knew what was to be expected.  I on the other hand, always wondered where I fit in, if at all.  At times I had this urgent feeling of being misplaced, unable to find my way back.  Something did not feel right, but the family seemed to be unaffected by it . . or at least to not show weakness.   
Perhaps that is how they survived in the darkness for so long, or they knew of nothing else.  Though this cannot be said of the father, as I learned late one ev Through the Eyes of a Wolf 2

Eyes of a Wolf - part 1It is hard for me to tell you of my past, as to me it is a burden, a heavy shell that I continue to carry on my tired back.  My life as a pup was short lived, as I cannot recall my own pack, my siblings or my parents.  I feel a warmth when I think of having a family, though I cannot truly say how my family made me feel.  With all due respect, it was worlds better than what I can recall . . . nothing could be as horrible as what my first memories imply.
